Passenger App · My Boarding QR
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The My QR screen shows the code scanned by the driver for boarding registration. If you have dependents, you can also display their QR from the same screen.
The My QR screen
Section titled “The My QR screen”Dependent selector
Section titled “Dependent selector”If you have dependents (minors or people in your care), you’ll see chips/buttons with:
- Your name (default)
- Name of each dependent
Tap a chip to switch between your QR and your dependent’s QR.
Profile information
Section titled “Profile information”Below the selector you see:
- Avatar: Your profile photo or initials
- Full name: Your name or the selected dependent’s name
- Subtitle (dependents only): Example: “Son of Maria”
- Email (you only): Your registration email
QR card
Section titled “QR card”In the center of the screen:
- QR Code: A square with lines that the driver scans
- “Código QR de abordaje”: accessibility label for the QR block
Additional information
Section titled “Additional information”Below the QR you may see:
- Readable code (if available)
- Instructions: “Show this code when boarding”
Maximum brightness
Section titled “Maximum brightness”Important: When you open My QR, the system automatically increases your screen brightness to maximum so the driver can scan the code clearly.
- On entering My QR: Brightness goes to 100%
- On leaving My QR: Brightness returns to your previous level
This happens automatically; you don’t need to do anything.
Typical flow
Section titled “Typical flow”- Open the app and go to My QR (usually bottom tab)
- Verify the QR shown is yours (not a dependent’s)
- Wait for the driver to arrive
- When you board, show your screen so the driver can scan
- The driver scans your code
- Continue with the normal trip flow
Use cases
Section titled “Use cases”Board as a passenger
Section titled “Board as a passenger”- Open My QR when waiting for the driver
- Keep the screen visible
- Driver scans with their app
- Your boarding is automatically registered
Board as a dependent
Section titled “Board as a dependent”- Open My QR
- If you have dependents, you’ll see chips/buttons
- Tap the dependent’s name who is boarding
- Their QR displays instead of yours
- Driver scans the dependent’s code
- Registers as the dependent’s boarding
Dependent without phone
Section titled “Dependent without phone”If your dependent doesn’t have the app:
- Open My QR and select their name
- Show their QR on your screen (the code that displays for them)
- Driver scans from your phone
- The dependent’s boarding registers
Scanning issues
Section titled “Scanning issues”If the driver can’t scan:
- Increase brightness to maximum (should be automatic)
- Move closer to the driver
- Make sure there are no screen reflections
- As an alternative, the driver can register manual boarding if needed
Tips and notes
Section titled “Tips and notes”- Automatic brightness: Don’t worry about adjusting brightness manually
- Clean screen: Wipe your screen before sharing it for better scans
- Code stability: Keep the QR still while scanning (~2 seconds)
- Dependent without app: You can show the dependent’s QR on your phone
- No scan: If it fails, the driver can register you manually
