Driver App · Passengers Aboard
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Passengers Aboard screen shows you in real time all the passengers who have boarded your vehicle during the active trip. From here you can:
- See who is currently in your vehicle
- Register a passenger’s manual alighting
- See who has already gotten off during the route
The Passengers Aboard screen
Section titled “The Passengers Aboard screen”Header and counter
Section titled “Header and counter”In the top right corner you see the passenger counter:
- {active} / {total}: For example, “6 / 8” means 6 passengers currently aboard out of 8 who have boarded total
This counter lets you stay on top of your load without reviewing the full list.
Empty state
Section titled “Empty state”If no boardings have been registered on this trip yet:
- People icon
- “No passengers”
- “Scan a passenger’s QR to register their boarding"
"A bordo” section
Section titled “"A bordo” section”List of passengers currently in the vehicle. For each passenger:
- Full name
- Boarding time
- Button or action to register their alighting
You can tap a passenger to confirm they exited:
- Confirmation dialog: ”¿{name} baja de la unidad?”
- Buttons: “Cancelar” and “Confirmar"
"Descendieron” section
Section titled “"Descendieron” section”List of passengers who have already gotten off during the trip. Shown for reference with no available actions.
Refreshing data
Section titled “Refreshing data”Pull down to refresh the list. Useful if:
- A passenger just boarded and isn’t showing up
- You registered an alighting and want to confirm
Typical flow
Section titled “Typical flow”- Start the trip from Route operations
- Open the Passengers aboard section (people icon or from the trip menu)
- Check the counter: “{active} / {total}”
- When a passenger needs to get off:
- Tap their name or alighting action
- Confirm in ”¿{name} baja de la unidad?” dialog
- At trip end, the counter should read 0 / {total} (everyone alighted)
Difference from Expected Passengers
Section titled “Difference from Expected Passengers”| Screen | Who it shows |
|---|---|
| Expected passengers | Subscribed to route who have NOT boarded yet |
| Passengers aboard | Those already IN the vehicle (boarded) |
Use Expected passengers to see who’s missing. Use Passengers aboard to manage who’s inside.
Use cases
Section titled “Use cases”Registering manual alighting
Section titled “Registering manual alighting”If a passenger doesn’t have the app to register their own exit:
- Go to Passengers aboard
- Tap their name in the “Aboard” section
- Confirm with ”¿{name} baja de la unidad?”
- Tap “Confirmar”
- They automatically move to the “Descendieron” section
Verifying before closing the trip
Section titled “Verifying before closing the trip”Before ending the trip:
- Check that the “Aboard” section is empty
- If passengers remain listed, register them as alighted
- You can now cleanly close the trip
Detecting inconsistencies
Section titled “Detecting inconsistencies”If the counter doesn’t add up:
- Compare Passengers aboard with Expected passengers
- Identify who doesn’t match
- Swipe to refresh both lists
- Contact admin if there are significant discrepancies
Tips and notes
Section titled “Tips and notes”- Counter: Monitor “{active} / {total}” during the route; if the number doesn’t drop at a stop, there may be a registration issue
- Refresh: If data seems outdated, pull down to refresh
- Manual alighting: Use it when the passenger doesn’t have the app (e.g., dependents or passengers without a phone)
- At trip end: Before closing, verify the counter reads 0 active
- Sync: All changes sync automatically with the administrator
